Emergence | Non-human Communications

The core concept of the workshop was centered around the idea of emergence in non-human communication between interactive artworks. The workshop started with online meetings and continued to a week long creation and installing process in situ.
The workshop aimed to bring people together to brainstorm ideas for interactive works, create them, and place them in a singular space so the artworks could interact with each other and form unexpected and unplanned connections. Through the use of microphones, cameras, motion sensors, motors, programming, networks the works/objects/installations formed feedback loops and also broke them to create unforeseen relationships.

Combining the ideas of 20 artist from various art academies we have explored this concept of emergence in the context of interactive art and created the exhibition Non-human Communications.
